- ECDE Certificate: You need a minimum of CPE/KCPE plus an ECDE Certificate from KNEC. Alternatively, a KCSE mean grade of D+ (Plus) or a KCSE D (Plain) combined with a KNEC proficiency certificate and an ECDE Certificate will qualify you.
- ECDE Diploma: This requires a KCSE mean grade of C (Plain) and an ECDE Certificate from KNEC. If you are pursuing a University Diploma, a mean grade of C+ (Plus) is required.
