Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology
The Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) is a giant institution offering different courses in Higher National Diploma, Diploma, Craft and Artisan Programs. Apart from the full-time courses, the Institute also offers a wide range of part-time and in-service classes both at our town campuses and the main campus. The Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST) was established in 1979 in Nakuru County of the then Rift Valley Province. It is situated ten Kilometres west of Nakuru town along Nakuru – Njoro Road.
The Institute has played a significant role in education of youth contributing in creation of employment in both the public and private sector and spurred development in the region and country.
In order to prepare adequately to achieve the Vision 2030, RVIST offers full-time and part-time courses from Certificate to Higher Diploma level. The courses are of¬fered in 9 departments: Agriculture and Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture Education and Extension, Building and Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, ICT & Computer Studies, Hospitality and Tourism, Health and Applied Sciences, Liberal Studies and Business Studies.
RVIST uses syllabi approved by the Kenya Institute of Education (KIE), Kenya Account¬ants and Secretaries Board (KASNEB), City and Guilds of London, among others. The students are examined by Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), KASNEB, City and Guilds, Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT), Association of Business Ex¬ecutives, ICDL, NTSA among others

Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology Admission Requirements
Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology Admission Requirements varies depending on the course you want to apply.
Please note:
i. Mean grade C-(Minus) and above for all Diploma courses.
ii. Mean grade D (Plain) and above for all Certificate Courses.
iii. Mean grade D-(Minus) or KCPE for Artisan Courses.
iv. ATC Level I – D+ (Plus) with D+ (plus) in Mathematics, English.
v. CPA I – C+ (Plus) with C+(Plus) in Mathematics, English.
vi. Our Nakuru Town Campus is located at Sansora Plaza opposite IEBC Office.
vii. Courses are offered on full time, part time and school based (Inservice).
viii. Tailor made courses are available on request.

Deposits may be made at any branch country wide. Include your mobile number in your application letter. Accommodation is limited and only available at the Main Campus.
