Students hoping to change universities or courses after the latest KUCCPS placement have been warned against falling victim to fake transfer application forms circulating online. The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has clarified that it has not yet opened the 2026 inter-institutional transfer application window. The warning comes as thousands of students and parents eagerly await the opening of the KUCCPS transfer portal after the latest placement results. In a notice issued on Friday, July 10, KUCCPS urged students, parents and the general public to ignore misleading information claiming that transfer applications are already open.

Fake KUCCPS Transfer Google Form Circulating Online
The warning follows reports of a fraudulent Google Form being shared in student groups and online forums. Interestingly, these groups are commonly used by students seeking information about KUCCPS placements, HELB loans and the Higher Education Fund (HEF). The fake form reportedly claims to help students transfer between:
- Universities
- TVET institutions
- Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) colleges
- Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs)
Students are allegedly asked to pay Ksh1,000 for the transfer and an additional Ksh600 service fee through a mobile payment number.
If you fall prey to this scam, you could lose Ksh1,600 to fraudsters while also exposing your personal information.
KUCCPS has warned students against making payments or sharing sensitive details through unofficial platforms.
