Teaching subject grades are a critical determinant in Diploma in Education (Secondary) placement because they define which subject combination an applicant qualifies to teach.
An applicant must have attained a Mean Grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE.
This is a general admission requirement and does not replace subject-specific requirements.
For both Education (Science) and Education (Arts) diploma programmes:
An applicant must score at least C+ in each of the two subjects they intend to teach.
Failing to meet the C+ threshold in either subject automatically disqualifies the applicant from that subject combination.
