1.    Discipline

Hard work pays. Hard work means working smart with commitment. Several students spend many hours reading without much improvement in their grades. As a student, hard work will require maximizing the time one is likely to be alert. Different people have different concentration level depending on the time of the day. Some students have high concentration level in the morning. This would mean reading and revising in the morning would produce more result that when done in the evening. After understanding the concentration level students should aim to revise their note, write short note, read questions papers and read topics not tackled by the teacher to have a preview of what to expect.

3.    Organized

Productive students understand that time is of great essence. Being organized ensures that one will take less time to get any item they want. It takes less time to organize something than it does to find it in an unorganized desk.

4.    Use exams results for the better

Exams results are not a life sentence. They should help one determine on the areas that need improvement. The life of a student comes with of a lot anxiety. Exams are always expected. To make the best out this anxiety, students should always be prepared at all time. Instead of being anxious students should involve in sports, group discussions or interested hobbies.

5.    Have the order of priority/Timetable

Doing many things at once will affect academic performance. Researchers say that changing duties more than 10 times a day drops Intelligence Quotient (IQ) at an average of 10 points. Things are done more efficiently when done one at a time. As result a personal timetable comes handy in assisting one to prioritizing the activities and subjects to be read. A timetable will also help in allocating breaks strategically

6.    No Procrastination.

7.    Tap into your inspiration

It’s important for students to know what inspires them. Education becomes more interesting when linked with life’s inspiration. In order to do so, one will require knowing their motivator in life. Having a dream ensure one is able to work towards that achievement.

8.    Have a mentor

Having a mentor means having someone to look up to. The mentor provides the guidelines relevant to work, career or professional development. It’s advisable to have a mentor who is experienced or more knowledgeable. Students who have personal developmental assistance are able to face challenges better because they know someone who has conquered the same problems.

9.    Set timelines

Setting limits is a fundamental productivity habit. Failure to set limits can make one to dwell on the same thing for a longer period than necessary. For instance, setting a limit to revise a certain chapter will ensure the topic will be tackled within the refined time limit. If you set a timeline of 2 weeks, you will take 2 weeks. If you set 1 week, you will take 1 week.

10.    See the Education from a bigger perspective

Education is more than just learning from textbooks and from the teachers. Life itself is journey of learning. When students realize that education should be fun, they enjoy every new thing learned. This will help in becoming creative and even discover new idea.
