2018 KCSE and KCPE registration of candidate is due from 15th January 2018 to 28th February 2018.
Requirement to register for KCSE and KCPE
Schools that are registering students should have at 15 candidates. Those schools with less than 15 candidates will have to be accommodated by other exams centers. Schools that will be hosted by other centres should also submit their information to KNEC as they submit their registration particulars of their students. For the schools that will be hosted it is good to note that they will still maintain their code when registering their students
How to register for KCSE and KCPE
Registration for KCSE and KCPE will be done online by head teachers who are mandated with presenting students registration details. All students should be registered in the schools they have been learning. . Students are to present correct information and passport photos. No school is allowed to have two exam centres. Since 2017 Kenya National Examination Council has not been sending any exams registration documents, all documents are to be access through KNEC website.
How to register your school to become KNEC examination center
Some of the documents you wil require to register your school to become KNEC examination center include
- A valid registration certificate from the respective County Director of Education
- Inspection questionnaire from the Sub county Director of Education
- Fully filled application forms from the school.
2018 KCSE and KCPE registration examination fee
This year all KCSE and KCPE registration examination fee will be paid by government so no student will be required to pay for the exam. However for private candidate, students who are resitting for the exams and students doing KCSE qualifying test will still pay for exam fee.
Late registration of 2018 KCSE and KCPE
This year no late registration will be allowed. Parents, students and all teachers should note that the registration will close on 28TH February 2018.
